If you have a project, internship, or service opportunity, share it with us. Our is the central location for students, faculty and staff to find opportunities in the greater Charlotte Lake Norman Region. The center is your one stop shop to community opportunities at your organization. 

Highlight Your Organization

The Community Involvement Fair is a time for nonprofits and community leaders to connect with students, faculty and staff and share information about available opportunities at their organizations.

The 2024 fair will be held on September 3 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Alvarez College Union Atrium. An optional lunch and meet & greet event will be offered at 12:30 p.m. for partners in attendance. If you would like a table at the fair, please by the end of day Sunday, August 11. Additional information will be sent to registered participants following the registration deadline.

Community Innovation Institute

The Community Innovation Institute is an annual, daylong event with speakers and breakout sessions that focus on community change work and promote collaboration. Workshops and discussions focus on place-based community engagement, transformational partnership development and innovative change strategies. The event is open to faculty, staff, students and community members. 

Registration opens in November as is offered at no cost. Details will be posted on this webpage when available.
